Each week, Cat Country 96 teams up with Rush Veterinary Urgent Care in Allentown to spotlight very special felines looking for a forever home. Whether they’re a playful kitten, a mellow senior, or a curious explorer, every cat we feature has a story—and a heart full of love waiting to be shared.

We believe every cat deserves a cozy lap, a sunny windowsill, and a family to call their own. That’s why we’re proud to introduce you to our Cat of the Week!

THIS WEEK:

Peppermint Patty is a super friendly and chatty former mom cat who has raised her babies and is now looking for a home of her own! She came into the rescue with 4 babies and was a wonderful mom to them but is happy to put her mom days behind her and just enjoy her life! She is friendly with other cats and loves being near humans. She cuddles in bed every night with her foster mom and makes biscuits and purrs! She is estimated to be about 2-3 years old and is fairly petite.

Week of September 1, 2025:

Meet our handsome boy Cody!

Cody is a one-eyed wonder with a zest for life. People and other kittens/cats make him so happy that Cody settled in instantly upon arriving to his new foster home, which is quite rare to adjust that quickly! This social butterfly purrs at the sight of his humans and cannot wait to jump up on a lap for a cuddle. Cody has the softest fur ever! He functions perfectly with one eye, so please consider giving this precious boy a chance at a forever home.

Cody also can live with other cats but really really loves people!

Week of August 25, 2025:

Nelly is a 4 and a half month old boy who is looking for his forever home. He enjoys hanging out in his foster home with other kittens and really enjoys playing with toys! He will chase a dangly wand toy and loves to run around with other kittens. Nelly is a quiet kitten who takes some time to warm up and adjust. He has been waiting for his forever home longer than other kittens and he gets overlooked at adoption events because he is more laid back. We would love to find Nelly a home that he can take the time he needs to adjust and once he does, he is a super loving and friendly guy!
